On July 26, 2022, experiences surfaced that revealed Alyssa Farah Griffin was once scheduled to join The View panel permanently.
Insiders claimed to the Daily Mail that Alyssa is meant to take over the seat left vacant by way of Meghan McCain, which would bring the panel back to 5 co-hosts.
The insider informed the newsletter: "My jaw dropped when I was told that she was the pick. It makes no sense.
"Part of me wishes they simply leaned into MAGA and employed Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Regarding Alyssa's hiring, the source mentioned at the time: "Her soon-to-be co-hosts are very upset.
"They really feel she isn’t authentic and adjustments her critiques in response to who her paymaster is.
"Ana Navarro especially feels let down as they are hiring someone who was an essential part of the movement that destabilized this country."
On Thursday, August 4, 2022, Ana Navarro was announced as an everlasting panelist on the program's roster at the side of Alyssa.
Why did Meghan McCain leave The View?
McCain joined the display in October 2017 after which introduced her departure on-air in July 2021.
One of the riding forces for McCain's departure from The View was once to spend more time along with her husband Ben Domenech and daughter Liberty in Washington DC.
